Add App Store section and Obsidian plugins; fix dead autosplat links
- Replace the archived video-to-3d-gaussian-splat + autosplat-viewer links
with the live, consolidated autosplat repo
- Add "On the App Store" section: Physarum Ambient, Yijing (both live)
- Add "Obsidian plugins" section (9 entries incl. the kuro theme)
- Merge NeuroVIM web/desktop + Obsidian into a single entry
- Drop perlin-studio
- Link Background pages on uplink.jkaindl.de where they exist
- Repo links now point at this forge; the GitHub twin points at github.com
(parity is now content-identical, not byte-identical)

Kuro-screensaver — five seeded retro-CRT scenes self-organizing on a dark canvas; click for the live demo

I build living, self-organizing things

How order arises from traces, not consensus, is the one question behind everything I make — across code, art, and theory.

traces · self-organizing · local-first · AGPL · runs on your machine

On the App Store

Free, no accounts, no tracking — the same engines as the repos below, native.

  • Physarum Ambient on the App Store — the slime-mold simulation as an ambient display for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
  • Yijing on the App Store — the I-Ching oracle for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

Generative art & music

  • Physarum — multi-species slime-mold simulation in WebGPU. Slime mold is the textbook case of stigmergy: agents coordinating through the traces they leave, with no central plan. The aesthetic is the idea. Background
  • kuro-screensaver — standalone retro-CRT 3D screensaver, five seeded procedural scenes. Background
  • synthwave-surfer — deterministic generative synthwave: pick a genre engine and a seed, get a full arrangement. Background

3D / Gaussian splats

  • Autosplat — video → interactive 3D Gaussian splat, automated and local on Apple Silicon; ships with a static viewer PWA to orbit or walk through the result. Background

Obsidian plugins

Local-first tools for the notes app I live in — nothing leaves your machine.

  • json-editor — view and edit JSON files with a Tree/Source toggle. Background
  • vault-rag — offline retrieval over your vault: related notes, semantic search, grounded chat with a local LLM. Background
  • vault-crews — run autonomous local LLM agent teams on your vault via LM Studio. Background
  • slide-deck — turn a Markdown note into a slide deck, export to PDF or PNG series, with live readability checks.
  • letterhead — business letters (DIN 5008 or modern) from note frontmatter, exported to PDF via the print dialog. Works on desktop and iPhone. Background
  • paperize — export the active note as a clean, text-selectable vector PDF. Desktop, iPhone and iPad.
  • image-to-markdown — transcribe a note's images to Markdown with a local vision LLM, non-destructively. Background
  • yijing-oracle — cast the I Ching in your vault: three-coin oracle with Wilhelm hexagram texts, readings saved as notes.
  • kuro — Neo-Gothic, Post-Cyberpunk, CRT-Phosphor theme: Twelve Signals palette, four Aspects. Background

Local-first tools & apps

Everything is built to run on your machine, not someone's cloud. Open source, AGPL — traces contributed to the commons should stay in the commons.

I'm a neurodivergent maker, and I work the way that fits: externalizing thought into traces rather than holding it all in my head — which, fittingly, is the same principle again.
